i've been dying to try bobwhite's lunch/supper counter that just opened up on avenue c - a little taste of southern goodness in my hood.  i got a few vegetables including "mom's tomato pie" and creamed kale.  delicious.  i shall return.

SJP SIGHTING!!!!!  seriouslyyy people... i've lived here for almost 6 years and this is my first sarah jessica parker sighting.  she was entering the grace building across the street from bryant park on 42nd street.  i really tried my best to document... she's in the crowd of people in the top picture of the lobby. she was wearing a grey peacoat, with black hat and sunglasses.  she was a little thing... i'm pretty sure i was in her way.  big moment.

fox private movie screening tonight (i work for news corp, so we have access to take clients, etc.)  anyhow, after wine and delicious apps, we saw "we bought a zoo".  super cute!  highly recommend!  OH up to 5 subway rides (2 total today).

operation: unlimited 30 day metro card begins today!  i am usually opposed to the unlimited card because i don't think it pays out, but since i'm going to be in town the next 30 days (or so it seems) then i'm going to give it a whirl.  the math works out that i need to make at least 46 subway rides in 30 days.  today i rode it 3 times (don't think this is common - just getting off to a good start).

every time at whole foods -- my game is to try and spend under $10 on that decadent salad/food bar.  however, everything always looks SOOO good, so i just pile it ON.  1.11 pounds and $10.28 later, i loose my game but walkout happy.  editor's note - i've never won this "game".
